The Maze
This was a small project, more an exercise in storytelling through a game than proper game design. The template was provided and the task was simple; tell a story through a goal, an item that unlocks the goal, a trap item that ends the game, and a hazard that is encountered along the way. I edited the template into a maze and added a fog of war to make navigation more difficult so that the hazard was encountered more often. In the template, the hazard ended the game like the trap item, but for my story I wanted the hazard to be more disheartening than life threatening so I removed the "end game" part and added a cycle of dialogue that changed with each encounter.
